Ostojenka street

Today, I would like to make you acquainted with two buildings, related with the name of  the famous architect L.N. Kekushev,  master of Modern style.
Kekushev constructed the right pink building in 1903 for himself, the left one belonged to his mother and included high class apartments for wealthy Moscovites. The interesting fact is that this little castle initially was not pink, it was brown with white details, and the charismatic lion was standing on the roof. The lion was the distinctive mark, a kind of Kekushev's signature, that he added to each his architectural projects all around Moscow. Also, look at the miraculous floral decorations on both buildings.
P.s. Kekushev adored chestnuts :)
